As a corporate and commercial lawyer, Amiya handles regulatory, advisory, compliance & documentation services for the real estate sector (covering due diligence, development, acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, zoning & land use), in addition to services relating to corporate, commercial and cross-border investment laws (including PE)
Amiya joined Kaden Boriss as an Associate Advocate in 2005 and was made a Partner in 2009
He liaises extensively with various Central/State Government Ministries and Government Departments, and regularly appears before judicial and quasi-judicial authorities
He also acts as an adviser to Kaden Boriss Consulting, handling LPO & KPO projects relating to legal auditing, and reviewing and analysing international contracts
Other activities include Member of the Organising Council of the International Infrastructure & Construction Law Arbitration Moot (IICLAM), Senior Coordinator of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARCLAW) and General Secretary of AIDS ("Action & Initiative for Development of Society"), a non-profit organisation working to improve the lives of socially challenged people
