Hemant is the founder of Kaden Boriss. The brand Kaden Boriss was established by him in 2003.
He has over 23 years experience as an international corporate & commercial lawyer and business strategist.
He has advised clients across the Indian subcontinent, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Dubai, Kuwait, Russia, USA, UK and Australia.
His expertise is in cross-border investment policy and procedures, and commercial, transactional and corporate law (including corporate management, governance and compliance, corporate restructuring, due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, takeovers, real estate acquisitions, and regularisation consulting and documentation).
Hemant has worked with many multinationals including Bayer, Suzuki, LG, Philip Morris (JV), Coca Cola, Accor, Findel, AMEX, Western Union, ABB and Knight Frank. He has also worked closely with various former Chief Justices of India, Senior Counsels and Members of the Indian Parliament.
During his career, he has held a number of honorary positions including current Secretary General of SAARCLAW (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation in Law). He has also served as Vice President of the organisation and as Secretary General during 2002-2007 & 2012-2014. Other positions and roles include: Expert Observer to the UN Global Commission on HIV and the Law; and Member of the Advisory Board of the Organisation for International Cooperation (OIC).
He is visiting faculty to various renowned educational institutions including Fore School of Management. He is mentor with D-labs of Indian School of Business; and recipient of prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Service Award.
A prolific author and public speaker, Hemant has contributed to such publications as "Doing Business in India", "Doing Business With Destination-India", "Doing Business With the Asian Tiger-India" , "Foreign Direct Investment Policy Of India - How Direct & How Real" and "Speaking Threads". He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences in India and internationally, and has been interviewed by, amongst others, CNBC, Zee TV, The Outlook, India Today, Hindustan Times, The Tribune and Financial Express.
