Lorenzo Nicolò Meazza is a criminal defense lawyer of the Milan Bar Association, vice-president of the Milan Criminal Chamber, as well as member of the Criminal Justice Commission of the Milan Bar Association and of the Europe Observatory of the Union of Italian Criminal Chambers and of the Commission on the Criminal Liability of Entities about Legislative Decree No. 231/2001 U.C.P.I..
As a Cassation lawyer, he has been registered since 2022 in the Special Register for legal aid before higher Courts. He provides legal assistance, both judicial and extrajudicial, in all areas of criminal law, participating in many proceedings of national importance.
As an expert in administrative liability of entities, he serves as chairman, member and consultant in numerous Supervisory Boards of medium and large companies (including multinational and public companies), also dealing with the drafting of Organization, Management and Control Models and judicial assistance in trials about Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
He graduated with highest honours from the University of Pavia in 2009, discussing a thesis in criminal law entitled "Criminal liability for crimes committed through mass media".
He is a member of Milan Bar Association, where he primarily conducts his professional activity. Moreover, Meazza represents clients in front of various Italian and international Courts, including the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
In 2016, he achieved a Level II Master's Degree in Corporate Criminal Law, with highest honours, from the Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University of Milan. His thesis was on"Criminal liability in derivatives signed by the Public Administration”.
Meazza also forged a lot of collaborations with several universities (Italian and Swiss), and has a number of publications in his name in various journals and publishers (including, Rivista della Guardia di Finanza, Associazione Organismi di Vigilanza 231, Unione Camere Penali Italiane, Pacini, Giuffrè, Maggioli, IPSOA, Wolters Kluwer, Giappichelli, Zanichelli, La Tribuna), as well as being a lecture and a speaker at several conferences on criminal and procedural-penalistics issues. Since February 2016 he has been the editor in chief of the main Italian legal journal Giurisprudenza Penale. Furthermore, Meazza has been a member of the National Register of Journalists, Publicists List since February 2009.
